On her life in Zimbabwe and being stripped of her citizenship
Judith Garfield Todd describes herself as having been at loggerheads with successive governments in Zimbabwe for more than 30 years. Her father – Sir Garfield Todd – was the Prime Minister of what was then colonial Southern Rhodesia. Under the Ian Smith regime, they were forced to leave the country. On her return, she worked to resettle members of the former liberation armies. But she gradually came into conflict with the Government of Robert Mugabe, and in 2003 was stripped of her citizenship. She joins Jane to reflect on the current situation in Zimbabwe and her hopes for the country's future.Ìý
