The Kelly Report and Women MPs 17 Nov 2009
House of Commons
Will women still want to stand for Parliament?

All three major parties have hailed the Kelly Review as the best way to restore public faith in British politics. However, as four women MPs wrote in a letter to The Times last week, there are concerns that the "proposals will discourage women who might otherwise seek their party's nomination."听Sue Cameron of the Financial Times and Julia Hartley-Brewer of the Sunday Express join Jane to discuss whether the reforms disproportionately impact upon women MPs and what this means for the future of women in the house.
