How should long term care for the elderly听be funded?
Concerns about an ageing population and the poor state of social care provision have led to a fierce debate in recent weeks about how to reform and, more importantly, how to fund social care. By 2050 the number of people over 85 will have doubled and spending on long-term care will need to increase fourfold. Gordon Brown has said the problem is one of the biggest the government has to face but the Conservatives have criticised his Personal Care at 成人快手 Bill and claim that he鈥檚 deliberately refusing to reveal how the scheme will be funded.
