Poet, illustrator, writer and performer Laura Dockrill is a 23 year old polymath whose witty takes on South London life have catapulted her in to the limelight. Armed with a three book deal, she was named as one of The Times top ten literary stars of 2008. Last month saw the publication of her second book 'Ugly Shy Girl'. In it she explores the life of a teenage girl struggling to stay afloat in a world of bullies, buddies and disappointing family members.
