Lesley Molseed鈥檚 mother and sister talk about her death and the effect it has had on them and their family.
In April 1975, April Garrett sent her 11 year old daughter Lesley Molseed to the shop to get some bread. Lesley never returned and three days later her body was found on Rishworth Moor in West Yorkshire. She had been sexually assaulted and stabbed. At the end of 2007, Ronald Castree was finally convicted of Lesley鈥檚 murder at Bradford Crown Court but he was not the first person to go to prison for this crime. In the summer of 1976, Stefan Kiszko had been found guilty of killing Lesley and spent 16 years in jail until forensic evidence revealed that he was innocent.
In the years since her daughter鈥檚 death, April Garrett has successfully battled with alcoholism and breast cancer but still has to take sleeping pills because she suffers from night terrors about her daughter鈥檚 murder. She has also met and befriended Ronald Castree鈥檚 ex-wife and Stefan Kiszko鈥檚 family.
April and her听daughter Laura join Jenni to talk about the events that have torn their family apart.
