Gwyneth Herbert
On singing her own songs, in her own way

Barely a year after leaving university, singer Gwyneth Herbert was discovered, signed, and hyped as a young jazz sensation - a ‘British Norah Jones’. The resulting album was critically acclaimed, but it was mostly covers and Gwyneth wanted to sing her own songs, in her own way. Disillusioned with the industry, she and the label parted company, but three years later she’s back, with an album filled with original material. She talks to Jenni about her second chance and performs live in the studio.

Gwyneth'sÌýnext gig is at The Mick Jagger Centre in Dartford, Kent on 30th November 2007Ìý

Gwyneth's album 'Between Me and the Wardrobe' is released by Blue Note on EMI
