So did you leap out of bed with a greater spring in your step this morning? Did all the commuters on the train smile at you. And did those traffic jams mysteriously disappear in the morning rain?
If so you can thank your lucky stars. Or more precisely your lucky planets.
According to astrologer Walter Berg, the appearance of Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn in our skies has led to an outbreak of harmony, peace and co-operation across the nation.
He predicted that traffic would flow smoothly across the UK and that there'd be fewer queues in supermarkets. And standing by a normally busy section of the A45 running into Northampton, his theory in this part of the Midlands seemed to be borne out.
However other listeners contacted Today forcefully pointing out they were stuck in the usual early morning traffic jam.
But Mr Berg pointed out that the influence of the planets was affecting the collective unconscious and would be at its most effective among groups or workers and teams, not individuals.
"The evidence is here before your very eyes," he told James Naughtie. "People are much more harmonious today."
"If you consult the motoring organisations they will tell you that today there have been very few problems with traffic flows."

Simon: I've just experienced my most congested journey to work for many months as, presumably, did all those who were blocking the particular stretch of the M1 along which I was trying to travel. And all for no apparent reason - no accidents, no roadworks... Just a few planets up to no good!
Jerry: via mobile phone from the Southbound lane of the M1 in Derbyshire. Commented he was stuck in "miles of stationary traffic". He asked the astrologer if he can align the planets over the southbound lane to help traffic flow.
Ian: I agree, your interviewee got it all wrong when he predicted harmony in traffic last week. My journey to work today was a total nightmare... just two hours instead of the normal 75 minutes ... still it gave me the chance to listen to all of your programme!!!

Martin: Today, on the day (your guest) predicts that we will enjoy harmony and free flowing traffic, due to the alignment of 5 planets, I have been stuck in a traffic jam (with no road works in sight), with the rain teaming down. I must say that this has not made me feel at harmony with the world.
Tony: My journey to work today was the worst I have experienced in many months. What should normally take about 40/45 minutes , took around 1 hour 10 minutes.
Stephen: I'm sorry to report that traffic for me this morning was worse than usual. I travel into Warwick from Coventry most days and today, despite there being no accidents, was a little worse than usual.
Richard: It is normal for Highways Agency contracts to require the removal if possible of traffic cones on trunk roads or motorways in the run up to Bank Holidays. I predict, with some confidence, that there will be a noticeable lessening of roadworks over the next few days which will have nothing to do with the heavens.
David: Unfortunately, despite my having started out 15 minutes earlier than usual, I still arrived at the office after you went off air, owing to the very unharmonious state of the M60.
Richard: Just for the record ... I had quite the fastest run into work for a long time this morning - Marylebone Road was like a dream ! Barely a single traffic light at red. Obviously the planets are doing their thing.
John: At the time you broadcast ... I was stuck in a queue behind a slow moving tractor. Ten minutes earlier I had been held up by an accident blocking half the road and near the end of my journey road works appeared which had not been there the day before. Thank God the planets do not line up again for another 80 years.
