Choosy Children - Cooking Chaos
My attempts to cook for my children when they were nippers were met with cries of "Yummie, Dad's cooking dinner!". Phil Hogan is desperate to impress his wife and gain some time-off credit to enable him to park himself in front of the TV in peace for the duration of the World Cup. His latest efforts mean cooking dinner for his four offspring and bring him face-to-face with that most trying phenomenon - the fussy eater. His wife refuses to help him, by offering him menu suggestions so he is left with a problem: his children, like so many others, find it impossible to sit down and eat the same meal at the same time.
PS I can only cook Gas-house Eggs ... you part-fry a piece of bread, cut a hole in the centre with an egg cup and break an egg into the hole, the yolk then soaks into the bread, flip the whole thing over and there you go. Except it never works when I do it and it gets fed to the dogs in the morning ...
