TRAIN MUSIC
When Eleanor Sage Leonard founded the The Music Festival Of The Hamptons eight years ago, the clearly audible 20-second whistle of the 8.05 train out of Bridgehampton has been a fixture of the concerts. Working on the principle of 鈥渋f you鈥檙e given lemons 鈥 make lemonade鈥 she decided to commission someone to write a piece of music incorporating the whistle. Front Row hears the results.

UPDATING OF THE CLASSICS
Authors of two re-worked classics on Radio 4 at the moment - Mike Walker and Hattie Naylor join Mark Lawson to discuss the art of updating classical texts for modern day audiences.
'The Jewish War' - Hattie Naylor's reworking of Josephus is tomorrow's Afternoon Play on Radio 4 at 2.15 pm.
'Caesar!' - Mike Walker's trilogy, drawn from 'The Twelve Caesars' by Suetonius is the current Classic Serial. Part II, 'The Meeting at Formiae' can be heard again this Saturday evening at 9pm and the last part, 'Peeling Figs For Julius' goes out this Sunday, at 3pm.
