Where I Play:

Now living in England I teach traditional drums, djembe, sabar, doum doum, and conga or modern drum kit to anyone who'd like to learn. I work usually from the Blackie Arts Centre in the Chinatown district of Liverpool, but I travel all over Britain with my band Libidor. I also set up drumming workshops for schools and arts festivals, including Africa Oye. People of all ages come to me to learn drums and my oldest pupil is 68. They seem very nervous, but relax as soon as they learn the basic techniques ... and the three notes ... tone, slap, bass.

I feel very lucky to be a musician. To be able to do what makes me happy and what I love most as a job is wonderful.

Libidor
