Twenty-year-old afro-soul artist Taves is on the rise. He鈥檚 just released his debut LP, Are You Listening?, and in this episode he tells DJ Edu how it got its name. He also talks about the importance of his lucky break - his talent was spotted by BNXN, formerly known as Buju, who took him under his wing, and guided him through the first steps of his career - and how he has had to be bold and create his own musical identity. Taves reveals that two of his most important musical influences are Asa and Sade, and that it was his dad who introduced him to these great female artists.
