Spirituality in Sin City
Rajeev Gupta learns about a spiritual movement in Las Vegas
In Spirituality in Sin City, presenter Rajeev Gupta takes listeners on an unexpected journey through the lesser-known spiritual side of Las Vegas, a city renowned for its glitz, glamour, and indulgence. Beyond the flashing lights and casinos, Las Vegas is home to a growing community of spiritual practitioners and faith-based healers, many of whom have turned away from the traditional Vegas lifestyle in search of something deeper and more meaningful.
At the center of the documentary is Patti Stevens, a Las Vegas-based faith healer who identifies as 鈥渟piritual, almost pagan.鈥 Raised Christian, Patti now practices reiki and energy healing, offering comfort and renewal to those seeking solace amidst the city鈥檚 whirlwind. The documentary captures her story alongside voices of former Strip workers and spiritual seekers, creating a tapestry of perspectives on spirituality, healing, and the search for inner peace in a place few would expect.
The program also features Chaplain Ryan from Westcare, who supports addiction recovery through an unconventional blend of Christian and Eastern spiritual practices. From open houses filled with healers to the quiet presence of Buddhist temples and the Brahma statue on the Strip, Spirituality in Sin City unveils a Vegas that defies expectations鈥攁 city where East meets West in its own way, and where those from all walks of life find new ways to connect with faith and themselves.
