The commander of Apollo 14, Alan Shepard, became the first and only person to play golf on the moon in 1971.

The astronaut golfer鈥檚 daughter Laura Shepard Churchley was inspired by her father鈥檚 big journeys and later travelled to space herself, although she didn鈥檛 pack golf clubs.
