The former Australia captain Belinda Clark tells us about becoming the first female cricketer with a statue, and also gives us her views on the current state of the women鈥檚 game.
Former Australia captain Belinda Clark joins Alison Mitchell, Jim Maxwell and Charu Sharma after a statue was unveiled of her at the Sydney Cricket Ground, the first of any female cricketer in the world. She gives her thoughts on the current state of the women鈥檚 game, including Meg Lanning鈥檚 return to the Australia side after a five month break, and the upcoming inaugural women鈥檚 edition of the Indian Premier League.
With just months to go until the start of the Women鈥檚 IPL, uncertainty remains over just about every detail鈥ncluding the name! Charu brings us up to speed on the latest developments.
We also discuss the news that Australia have withdrawn from their ODI series with Afghanistan, following the Taliban's recent announcement regarding further restrictions on women and girls' education and employment. The chief executive of the International Cricket Council, Geoff Allardice, has told the 成人快手 that no women鈥檚 or girl鈥檚 cricket is being played in the country to their knowledge.
