Vaccines: The Importance of The Herd and Social Media
What proportion of a population needs to be vaccinated to stop a disease spreading?
The World Health Organisation has reported that so far this year over 47,000 adults and children in the European area have been infected with measles. For the whole of 2017 there were almost 24,000 cases and in 2016 the figure was 5,273. So why are the numbers growing? We speak to experts about how herd immunity, government policy and social media can affect infection rates.
