Rabindranath Tagore

A polymath, Rabindranath Tagore was the first non-European to win a Nobel Prize for Literature. He died in August 1941 and was regarded as one of the India's greatest poets.

In August 1941 one of the greatest poets India has ever produced died. Known as the "Bard of Bengal" Rabindranath Tagore was the first non-European to win a Nobel Prize for Literature and has been called one of the outstanding thinkers of the 20th century. Farhana Haider and has been listening to material from the 成人快手 archives and hearing from Professor Bashabi Fraser, Director of the Scottish Centre of Tagore Studies.
