UN says Haiti situation 'catastrophic'

Armed gangs have launched fresh attacks in the capital in Haiti.

Three million children in Haiti are in need of humanitarian assistance as continuing gang violence hampers aid delivery, the head of the UN children's agency, Unicef, has said. We hear from the residents in the capital and speak to a local journalist.

Five migrants have drowned while trying to cross to Britain from France, hours after the British parliament passed a controversial law intended to deter such crossings.
