Germany starts Christmas lockdown amid Covid surge

Germany has entered a hard lockdown closing schools and non-essential businesses in an attempt to stop a sharp rise in Covid-19 infections; hundreds of leaders from the world鈥檚 major faiths have called for gay conversion therapy to be banned; and a group of MP's in Britain have said that there should be a new approach by the government to relations with Iran.
