Italy government crisis: PM Conte faces a confidence vote

The fate of Italy鈥檚 government unfolds

The future of Italy's government could be decided today, after weeks of acrimony between the parties in the governing coalition, the populist Five Star Movement and the far-right League. There's speculation that the Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte could resign later today, or that a no-confidence vote will be tabled at the Senate to unseat him.

Also on the programme: a woman in El Salvador whose baby was found dead in the toilet where she gave birth has been cleared of murder; far-right and anti-fascist protesters in Portland, and the World Robotics Conference in Beijing.
