Hong Kong lawmakers debate no-confidence motion over Carrie Lam's leadership
There have been huge protests over a controversial bill which would allow extradition to mainland China.
The legislative council in Hong Kong is debating a motion of no confidence in the territory's chief executive, Carrie Lam, following mass protests against her proposed extradition law.
Mexico's President, Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, has said he's saddened by the deaths of a father and his young daughter from El Salvador as they tried to cross the Rio Grande into the US. A photograph of their bodies shows them wrapped together in shallow water.
