Oxfam sexual abuse report due

An official report into how the international aid charity, Oxfam, handled serious sexual abuse allegations following an earthquake in Haiti nine years ago will be published in Britain today.

Nearly 100 people have been killed in an attack in a village in central Mali inhabited by the Dogon ethnic group, officials say. The attack happened in Sobame Da, near Sanga town in the Mopti region.

A ground-breaking study in Bangladesh has found that using data from mobile phone networks to track the movement of people across the country, can help predict where outbreaks of diseases such as malaria, are likely to occur. This then enables health authorities to take preventative measures.
