The Venezuelan President, Nicolas Maduro, has given a defiant television address, after a day of mass protests against his rule. Sitting alongside military commanders, he saluted the loyalty of the armed forces. Mr Maduro said only a small group in the military had sided with the opposition leader, Juan Guaido -- and their plan to oust him had failed.

An investigation by 成人快手 Arabic has found evidence of alleged war crimes being widely shared on Facebook, YouTube and Twitter. The 成人快手 found images and videos on social media of the bodies of fighters and civilians being desecrated in Libya, by fighters from the Libyan National Army.

The number of people who鈥檝e died in Mozambique due to cyclone Kenneth has risen to 41 says the government. Aid agencies say the country needs urgent life-saving relief to deal with the aftermath of the storm, which made landfall in the province of Cabo Delgado where Kenneth hit last Thursday.
