Sione's Miracle Kidney Transplant
Tonga rugby star Sione Vaiomo驶unga has had the kidney transplant that seemed impossible.
In January, the Tongan rugby union player Sione Vaiomo驶unga told Sportshour how, after moving to Romania to play rugby there, he became stranded in the country, after suffering kidney failure. With no dialysis machines in his native Tonga, Sione believed returning home would be a death sentence, so Sione and his family were hoping to remain in Romania. But their visas were due to run out. Dan Leo, founder of the Pacific Rugby Players Welfare organisation, brings us a happy update.
