Shipping Industry Reaches Climate Agreement

For the first time, the industry has agreed to halve greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.

Discussions have been taking place this week in London at the meeting of the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) to agree a global strategy to reduce carbon emissions. For the first time, the industry has agreed to halve greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. John Kornerup, head of sustainability strategy at Maersk, has been at the talks and tells us more. One of the founding fathers of the gambling industry in Macau - Stanley Ho - has retired at the very grand old age of 96. Ben Bland of the Financial Times in Hong Kong tells us about his contribution to the industry.
