Historic Leicester jewellers may quit city centre

The boss of an historic jeweller in Leicester has said they could be forced to move to Fosse Park, because his customers struggle to park in the city centre.

Lumbers, which is based on High Street, has been a fixture in the centre of Leicester for more than 140 years.

Managing Director Dominic Gomersall says it's becoming much harder for shoppers to bring a car into the city centre, and that's having an impact on sales.

In a statement, Leicester City Council highlighted that Leicester has more than 8,500 parking spaces at prices that compare well to nearby cities.

Dominic Gomersall and City Mayor Sir Peter Soulsby spoke to 成人快手 Leicester's Ady Dayman.
