EastEnders is 40 years old! To celebrate the iconic soap, and the fantastic women in it, Woman’s Hour headed down to the Fox & Hair salon on Albert Square for a special live programme.

Anita Rani was joined by some of the most powerful women in Walford, including Diane Parish, who plays Denise Fox.

Her love triangle storyline will be at the centre of the soap’s live interactive episode on Thursday 20th February. This is the first time in the show’s history that viewers will be able to vote on the outcome of a storyline - whether Denise’s future should be with Jack or Ravi.

Diane told Anita about being at the centre of this much anticipated episode and what it’s like to portray this storyline onscreen.
