Alejandra was born in Mexico and was brought to the US by her undocumented parents when she was five. She grew up with her siblings in South Carolina 鈥渋n the shadows鈥� and now has legal status but is afraid for her family鈥檚 future. 鈥淢y dad is the head of our home,鈥� said Alejandra. 鈥淢y dad has a mortgage.
