Hundreds pay respect at Redditch’s candlelit vigil
Marcus Meade was shot dead by police officers on Christmas Eve. More than 200 mourners packed in to Fownhope Close to pay their respects.
West Mercia Police were called to the property after reports he was carrying a knife, with an independent investigation now taking place into how the shooting happened.
Tom Edwards reports.
At time of publishing, The Independent Office for Police Conduct is investigating Marcus's death. West Mercia Police said in a statement that they are unable to comment until that probe has finished.
