Last week, Fernanda Torres became the first Brazilian actress to win a Golden Globe for the film "I’m Still Here". She beat the likes of Nicole Kidman, Tilda Swinton and Kate Winslet -- the 59 year old actress dedicated the award to her actress mother Fernanda Montenegro, the legendary Brazilian actress who in 1999 was nominated for an Oscar but lost out to Gwyneth Paltrow. In the film, directed by Walter Salles, she portrays the wife of a Brazilian politician killed during the military dictatorship in the 70s in the country. She spoke to Julian Worricker about her film, he Golden Globe and possible Oscar nomination!
