Swiping right on a cycling adventure for the planet
When Canadian heptathlete Leanna Carriere swiped right on a dating app, it started a journey that should take her and her partner Timm Döbert all over the world.
They've completed the Canadian leg of a cycling expedition that will see them replicate the migration of birds to raise awareness of climate change.
The couple tell Sportshour’s Caroline Barker why they’ve decided to combine Leanna’s athletic ability and Timm’s academic background to make a positive change for the environment. Leabbe is also part of the EcoAthletes collective, a non-profit that inspires and coaches athletes to lead climate action.
