LGBT veterans who were jailed or sacked to get compensation

British military veterans who were sacked, and in some cases imprisoned, because of their sexuality are to receive up to 拢70,000 each in compensation, with the government putting aside 拢75m for the scheme.

Today's Emma Barnett speaks to Professor Andrew Hartle, who was dismissed from the RAF for his sexuality in 1997.

He says "some people have waited 50 or 60 years" for the compensation scheme.
