The singer-songwriter Raye made music history this year when she won six of the seven prizes she was nominated for at the Brit Awards, and became the first woman ever to take home the trophy for songwriter of the year at the renowned music ceremony. In 2021, she left her seven-year contract with record label Polydor to become an independent artist, claiming the label had consistently refused to release her debut studio album.
This year she features on the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ's 100 Women list — which is a group of inspiring and influential women from around the world for 2024. In this episode of the 5 Minutes On podcast, Raye has been speaking exclusively to the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ's Kirsty Grant about the singer's remarkable success.
