German Cinema Classics: 'Head-On' by Fatih Akin, a modern story of star-crossed lovers
It's a movie about two Turkish-German lovers that took the film industry by storm in 2004.
'Head-On', or 'Gegen die Wand', by German director Fatih Akin, also of Turkish descent, won the Golden Bear at the Berlin International Film Festival.
The story focuses on a destructive alcoholic who enters into a marriage of convenience with a young Turkish woman.
German film critic Patrick Heidmann tells Talking Movies presenter Tom Brook why it's meant so much to him, and to German cinema.
