Michelle Yeoh: 'You feel like such a failure' for not having children
Oscar-winning actor Michelle Yeoh has said that she felt ‘like such a failure’ when she was unable to have children.
Speaking to Nuala McGovern on ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Radio 4's Woman’s Hour, Michelle said she had always wanted to have a family and blamed herself when her fertility treatment wasn’t successful.
She also said that it was a major factor in the break-up of her first marriage.
Now aged 62, Michelle said she still thinks about it, but that at some point she stopped blaming herself and accepted that she had to ‘let it go’.
Michelle is playing Madame Morrible in the film adaptation of the musical Wicked, out in cinemas on Friday 22 November.
