The Moomins celebrate their 80th anniversary next year, and will be celebrated with a piece of artwork being unveiled in Bowling Park as part of Bradford City of Culture 2025. The art is being created by artist, Basel Zara who was born in a Palestinian refugee camp in Syria. The art will then be unveiled next year around Refugee Week in June. Creative Director of Moomin Characters, James Zambra speaks to Gayle Lofthouse about the importance of The Moomins.
