The Sir Stanley Matthews statue on Hanley High Street has been vandalised bright pink substance. Locals say they think the act is 'disgusting' and that 'there is no respect'.
The City Council has told us it will take action against the people who threw the paint. It says its cleaning teams have been to look at the damage that's been caused to Sir Stan's statue and the clean up is planned. The council says its reviewing the CCTV in the city centre and once the people who did this are identified, they will be getting a 拢200 fixed penalty notice.
