'His wedding ring is in the club's foundations'
A community football club in Leicestershire is still dreaming big, even though they lost their FA Vase match against Nottingham-based Dunkirk FC at the weekend.
But this match had a special significance for Birstall United FC, because supporters were also there to remember one of the founders of the Meadow Lane club who died recently.
Birstall United was set up by John Williams and a group of teenagers who were friends in 1961. The club is still encouraging their youngsters to this day and have recently installed a new stand just for them.
