Zombie Knives: Deadly blade deadline in Merseyside
Merseyside residents are being urged to hand in zombie knives and machetes before a ban.
The police are part of a nationwide effort allowing people to surrender these weapons at designated stations without facing legal action.
The upcoming ban, under the Offensive Weapons Act, will make it illegal to own, sell, or transport certain types of zombie knives and machetes. The law also closes a loophole that previously allowed sales if the weapons lacked violent imagery on the handles.
