Robert Renoldson is finally getting a gravestone and being honoured for his service in the American Civil War, more than a century after his death.
The soldier from North Shields is believed to have fought in a significant battle near the end of the war before returning to his hometown, where he died and was buried in an unmarked grave in 1916.
