5 Live listeners share their thoughts with Nicky Campbell.
The former shadow home secretary Diane Abbott told the 成人快手 that she's been barred by Labour from standing for the party at the general election.
Labour leader Keir Starmer says that鈥檚 not the case and 鈥渘o decision has been taken鈥.
Diane Abbott was the first black woman to be elected to Parliament in 1987. She is the MP for Hackney North and Stoke Newington, where she won with a 33,000 majority at the last election.
She was suspended from the party last year, after saying Jewish, Irish and Traveller people do not face racism "all their lives".
She apologised and Labour says she has since completed a two-hour antisemitism awareness course. She had the Labour whip restored yesterday.
The party has just over a week to select its candidates for the general election on the 4th July. Nominations close on the 7th June.
