How to organise an election in six weeks
With just 6 weeks notice until the General Election, it's not just the broadcasters and political parties changing plans to prepare for the 4th July.
Councils across the country must prepare polling stations, counts and lots and lots of staff.
The city council's chief operating officer Alison Greenhill will be the official 'returning officer' and is the person who's job it is to make the election happen.
She told Ady Dayman how the task involves cancelled holidays, booking 124 venues and hiring 1,100 staff.
