Flixborough Disaster: I saw the steam and just ran
Saturday 1st July 2024 is 50 years since the Nypro chemical plant at Flixborough exploded, killing 28 people working there. The blast caused damage for miles around. Speaking to Radio Humberside in 1994, Brian Petit recalls a very lucky escape:
