Car parking charges to increase in Coventry
Car parking charges are going up in Coventry; it's the second rise in the space of just a few months, as the last rise was towards the end of 2023.
Coventry City Council says: "The significant financial pressures faced by the city council are caused by inflation and rising demand for some services. Coventry also continues to be severely underfunded, receiving less funding per head than the national average. Councils are required by law to set a balanced budget, and this has meant we've had to identify a number of savings. Our priority has been to protect essential services, including those that support the most vulnerable, while continuing to deliver Council priorities.鈥
