Rat infestations on the rise in Coventry and Warwickshire
A total of 743 infestations were dealt with every day last year.
The British Pest Control Association is urging people to call a qualified pest controller as soon as they see rats on their property.听
It comes after a total of 48 people were hospitalised last year after being bitten by a rat.
Natalie Bungay is a technical officer at the British Pest Control Association and spoke to 成人快手 CWR's Phil Upton on the do's and don'ts's of pest control.听
In a statement, Coventry City Council said:听
鈥淲e continue to offer a pest control service in Coventry and receive up to 60 calls a week from residents who have concerns about rats or have evidence of rats.
鈥淚n recent years, the number of calls has increased, but not significantly.
听
"We visit homes free of charge, but we do charge for visits to commercial venues, including restaurants and shops.
鈥淥ur team deals with a range of pest control issues, from wasps to insect infestations. And we thank people for helping to prevent issues of rat infestations by taking simple steps such as using bird feed high on a bird table.
