Could Grantham museum be renamed after Thatcher?
A Lincolnshire council leader has suggested renaming Grantham museum after former Primer Minister Margaret Thatcher.
Baroness Thatcher, who was PM between 1979 and 1990, was born in the town where her father ran a greengrocer's shop, and a statue of her stands in front of the Guildhall.
The leader of South Kesteven District Council, Ashley Baxter, believes naming the museum after her would be 'a hook on which to find the town' and encourage tourism, but museum staff say they have no plans to change the name.
