Scunthorpe Jimi Hendrix autograph sells for 拢5,800
A rare autograph by legendary guitarist Jimi Hendrix which was found in a Scunthorpe attic has been sold at auction for 拢5,800, more than double its pre-sale estimate.
John Hicks found the signature in an autograph book belonging to his late wife Shirley while clearing out the loft at his home.
It's believed Hendrix signed it following a concert in Lincoln where he was a support act for the Walker Brothers in April 1967, a few weeks before the release of his debut album.
