A book loaned from Manningtree Library in the summer of 1979 has been returned 44 years later. Great Prime Ministers by John Whittle was first published in 1966 and features profiles on the lives of eight British prime ministers, including William Pitt the Elder, Sir Robert Peel and Lloyd George.

Michele Price is the supervisor of Manningtree library and says the book was in fantastic condition.
