What's being done about London's 'truancy crisis'?
Nine London schools have been named as new 鈥渁ttendance hubs鈥 as the Government attempts to tackle what it called a 'truancy crisis' in education.
This action has been taken to deal with the surge in children classed as persistently absent from school following the Covid pandemic.
More than one in five children are now classed as such. Before the pandemic, the figure was one in ten.
