John Nettles, star of Bergerac and Midsomer Murders, tells Michael Chequer about his life in Devon and his passion for history.

It's now a decade since John approached 成人快手 Radio Devon with the idea of producing a drama documentary telling the story of Devon's role in World War One, to mark the 100th anniversary of the start of the conflict.

Since then, working alongside producers Michael Chequer and Oliver Ings, John has written a series of shows exploring his passion for history and his love of his adopted home county.

Ten years on, John shows Michael around his rural Devon smallholding and looks back at the programmes focussing on some of the most significant moments in history - and how they affected our corner of England.
