拢13 million on hotels for homeless in Liverpool
Liverpool city council is reviewing how it finds emergency housing for homeless people, after revealing it spent nearly 拢13 million on hotel rooms last year.
The authority says options which are less expensive and more "person-centred" are being explored.
A Freedom of Information request by 成人快手 Radio Merseyside's Political Reporter Claire Hamilton found the cost of hotel rooms for the homeless had risen from about 拢950,000 in 2019-2020 to 拢12.7 million last year.
